I don't think you can fit my style in a box; its to big for that, haha! Its a mix match of vintage dresses, Dr Marten boots, glitter makeup... the list goes on. My motto is that life is too short to wear boring clothes, so why not experiment with different pieces and styles?
I've definitely been influenced by a lot of different people and things, especially characters in films. So here's a blog post sharing 5 of my favourite fictional characters that have inspired my style!
Holly Golightly - Breakfast at Tiffany's

No one does style quite like Audrey Hepburn, but Holly Golightly is one of those characters who makes anything work! From Little Black Dresses to a cosy jumpers, she pulls it all off. My favourite thing about her style is her love for dramatic head accessories! Whether its a pink tiara, black oversized hat or a sparkly hair clip, she can pull it all off with grace.
Elle Woods - Legally Blonde

Pink, glitter, glamour, Elle does it all! I admire her polished style, love for anything pink and overall passion for having fun with her wardrobe. She doesn't care about what others think of her, instead she wears what she loves and does it in style! Elle also teaches us a valuable lesson; you can never wear too much pink!
Giselle - Enchanted

I'm a sucker for a princess story but Giselle (and her wardrobe) captured my imagination as a child and still to this day continues to inspire me. She always looks charming, graceful and like a princess, all the things that 7 year old me dreamed of being. Now I'm older I realize that I may never have animals that can help me make clothes from curtains, but I definitely try to channel a little bit of her fairy tale magic into my wardrobe.
Veronica Sawyer - Heathers

Heathers is one of those films that captures 80s style & takes it to a whole new level! Veronica, in my opinion, has the best wardrobe. With her checked waistcoats, blue blazers with shoulder pads and off shoulder jumpers, what's not to love! Also she shows me that if you find a colour that suits you, why not make it your signature look?
Tracy Lord - High Society

Grace Kelly was always a glamorous, graceful woman and Tracey Lord is definitely one of those characters that makes it look effortless! I love her classic, sophisticated style and her passion for large skirts, which are always a winner for me. Her pale blue striped dress has to be my favourite (shown above in the blue square); the shape is beautiful and you can't go wrong with stripes!
I hope you have enjoyed seeing a few of my style inspirations!
Best wishes,
Lottie
